For good reason safety in laboratories concentrates on the specific technical risks, such as chemicals, infectious agents, radiation sources etc. However laboratories also present significant risks that can be encountered in more general workplaces such as warehouses and offices. In this training we concentrate on general laboratory safety issues including Manual Handling and Repetitive Physical Tasks. The training will signpost the excellent resources providing advice in these areas and engage participants to identify hazards in an general work environment that are equally significant in the laboratory.
